POC - C# / .NET Developer for Document Scanning Application

We are looking for an experienced developer for a multi-phase application development project. The initial project will be a proof-of-concept phase, one which can continue into a 3-to-6-month project. As the developer on this project, you will work on updating and enhancing an existing Windows desktop scanning application to add features, functionality, and integration with other software components. You will be working with a company and management that has a significant depth of experience designing, developing, and managing document imaging software applications across a variety of areas. What we’re looking for: · Significant experience developing Windows desktop applications with Visual Studio · Experience working with the WPF and WCF frameworks · Strong C# / .NET and software engineering skill · Experience developing document scanning / imaging applications, including work with TWAIN and barcode recognition libraries, is highly desired · Track record of delivering high-quality applications on schedule To help ensure that we have a good fit for his project, this work will begin with this short initial proof-of-concept phase using a specified set of tools. Contingent on the success of this first phase, the second, core project is expected to commence shortly thereafter. The core project will include a primary development phase of approximately 3 months, followed by a maintenance phase with fewer hours per week that may continue for several months. Throughout these project phases, the developer will have the opportunity to work with the project’s manager to design the best application architecture and user experience to meet the requirements of the project.
