Simple project: Ubuntu configuration

Hi guys I've just built a new desktop PC and I decided to use Ubuntu instead of Windows. I'm a long time Win7 user so I don't have any Ubuntu knowledge and I am having trouble with basic configuration problems. My hardware is: AMD Ryzen 5 2400g Asus B350M-A motherboard 2 X 4GB Corsair Vengeance 3200khz RAM LG 1080p LED monitor (24mp58vq-p) Problems that need to be fixed: 1. Screen - resolution is stuck at 1024x768 (4:3) I have no other options in display settings. Also some videos fail to play (a fuzzy screen is shown) kvm-ok: INFO: /dev/kvm exists KVM acceleration can be used xrandr: xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default Screen 0: minimum 1024 x 768, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768 default connected primary 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1024x768 76.00* 2. In bios, my RAM can be set to 'auto' only. If I set it to 2666khz my PC fails to boot 3. I can't use torrents: Ports are open, download begins, speeds are good (4 to 6 mb/s) then speeds drop to 20kb/s and my PC becomes unresponsive until torrents are stopped. I can download from online filehosts at fast speeds with no problems. Other than the above problems, the PC is responsive, I can run Win 7+10 in Virtual Box easily.
