Hi Michele, Part of the reason that you have been encouraged by professionals to write your story is that the act of writing it is in itself healing. Many people who didn't consider themselves "writers" have written down their stories - and then had consultations and had them edited. It gets better with each draft and you become a better writer and stronger for it. This is what I'd recommend you do. It's not really possible for a ghostwriter to do as good a job with a true story as you can do - your experiences, your emotions. Someone who helps you must have something to work with. Also, no one wants to work for free. So, (since you have no money ...) please start writing it down from the beginning, do it chronologically for the first draft - everything you remember, everything you were feeling. The first draft is always a mess. Don't judge it - just do it. When you tidy it up you will have to come up with a "theme" - something universal that you are trying to get across - that is - if you decide to move forward with it to publication. Otherwise - it's completely useful for your own healing purposes. If, once you're ready with something (and you have some money), you would like more guidance and editor, I would be happy to help you.
