I've come across many issues like this and they are actually quite easy to debug. Definitely willing to give you a hand as I understand how frustrating it would be not being able to view your orders. I'm also new to freelancer but my day to day job is Magento 1 & 2 so just trying to help others out there with the knowledge i know. Debugging this issue requires me to get access to your site and enable error logging. Then I can find out which area of the code is causing your error and fix it directly.
