UI/UX Web Designer for a Desktop & Mobile App (~10 hours per week)

I’m looking for someone with a lot of experience with UI/UX of Desktop and Mobile Web Apps and a passion for working on a large scale application. We’re working on a productivity software that offers a simple but very effective twist on how people work with Mail, ToDo Lists, Calendars and the like. Opportunity: Work as a Designer with me and our team on a new productivity app called ‘blacksteak’ (project name) that will help thousands of people be more productive and will make work with EMail, Todo Lists, Calendars, etc. fun again. What’s important to me: You come up with ideas by yourself, create the mockups to demonstrate them and are a good communicator You are quick and pragmatic when you create mockups but detail oriented and precise when you create graphic assets that will go into production You think the user flow through before submitting it to me and appreciate when your suggestions are challenged You are precise and on time You provide comments so that it is easy for me to understand the reasons why you did something the way you did it You will be the first designer in a growing team behind blacksteak. General Responsibilities: Come up with ideas on how to improve the UI/UX of blacksteak Present those ideas in Mockups (please let me know the mockup app of your choice) Refine these mockups and translate them into graphic assets that our developers can implement Required Skills: Deep UI/UX Knowledge & extensive experience working on consumer Apps Good Knowledge of Material Design Experience with git and Github Good communication skills Bonus points if you know CSS(3) & HTML5 and are able to contribute to our codebase directly Other requirements: Please let me know in which timezone you work and what your usual work hours look like I’m based in Zurich/Berlin and the closer you are in terms of time zones and geographically, the better I’d like together for a trial period of 10 hours (paid of course) to see if it’s a good fit before committing to anything long term.
