I need a proficient AngularJS developer to address a specific bug in my application. The issue pertains to a pre-existing drop-down list that should be selected as default but isn't. While the drop-down list is currently visible and populated with the correct options, it doesn't stick as the default selection. A deep understanding of data binding and template rendering is crucial to effectively solving this issue. Previous experience with similar AngularJS problems will be greatly considered.
