Contest Brief

I need a logo for our SaaS (app + web) company. Construction contractors will use the app and website to track projects, billing, and other things related to construction.

Simple is better - think minimalist.

The type of companies that will use our app build homes, buildings, roads, bridges, mow yards, paint and everything in between.

Needs/Suggestions
:: Must be 100% authentic. Do not use any logo builders or other templates or elements directly copied from another logo.
:: Needs to be a horizontal logo. I do not mind seeing a logo that is square or round, but most of the time it will be used horizontally.
:: If the logo is text, it must have an icon in front of the text that can also double as an app icon.
:: The color choice should be flat with very little (or no shading). Colors we use in the app (blue: #0088cc green: #47a447). I am OK with other colors as long as it works with those choices. Black, gray, white, etc. Bold is good. Colors can always be changed later.
:: Simple is better. If it would be too difficult or if the logo would look bad embroidered on a shirt, then most likely it is not going to be the best choice. (We are not putting the logo on a shirt, but that is just a tip to consider during design.)
:: Consider using a unique font.

:: Nothing corny or unprofessional
:: No saws, hammers, or screwdrivers
:: No stationary examples
:: Nothing cartoonish
:: Nothing dated

:: I will need all source files so that I can change the color and font in the future if I decide to.

I’ve attached an example to consider if you cannot think of anything else at the moment. This is NOT the only style that I am interested in. I want to see what you come up with.
