Backspace means to delete or to get rid of something. The thinking is based around a computer keyboard. In the digital age, many people use their computers or mobiles to perform many tasks. To get an Uber, to pay an account or to order a pizza. The hook here, is that the customers are not getting rid of what they don’t need, they are merely placing their items somewhere else and taking back their space. Hence the name, (Take) backspace.
