Contest Brief

We are having an event to get African American out to vote during the early voting period for the upcoming election. We are making teeshirts and need graphic design work. We are calling the event Sunday Blackout (blackout - blacks (African Americans) going out to vote). Our theme is: Restoring Power to the People. On the back of the tee-shirt, we want the tagline: Reclaiming our Power.
I would like a design that plays on "Power." One idea would be a black closed fist because it is a symbol of power for African Americans. This should not limit you. I just throw it out as one idea.

The design should incorporate Sunday Blackout as well as the theme and tag line
. The tee shirts will be black. African American colors are red, green and black.

Another color option is red, white, blue and black. I have gotten some pretty good submittals and will most likely award this project before it is slated to end.

I apologize, thanks for following my lead but it seems the red, green and black alone is too dark. If you can find a way to include white with the colors, it would be more appealing. Also the event is called “Blackout Sunday.”

The colors should be a combination of any or all of red, green, black or white. This is a non-partisan political event with a purpose of increasing voter turnout.
