Contest Brief

My name is Ben, and I'm the founder of PrepMonsters.com. We help students prepare to conquer the SAT/ACT. I need a logo/icon that will go on my site/marketing materials/branded textbooks/etc... The logo should be square or slightly rectangular.

I need a vector file for both the color and black and white versions.

Company name: PrepMonsters
Tag line: Tests Fear Us

I'm leaning towards the idea of a test or textbook (or even a graduation cap) with a bite taken out of it, claw mark, etc... I'm leaning away from the idea of an actual monster itself, but I'm open to suggestions. Because we prep for BOTH the SAT and the ACT, the logo SHOULD NOT have either SAT or ACT on the test/textbook. Something with a "claw mark" letter M in a style similar to the Monster Energy Drink logo (in a way that doesn't infringe on their Trademark) would be fine as well.

The logo should convey the idea that we are monsters (confident/excellent) at helping students prepare to conquer these tests/college admissions/etc...

The logo should be in color but also look good in black and white. The primary colors on my website are blue, black, white, and orange. Please reference it here: https://www.prepmonsters.com/conquer

I like the use of negative space in the VIPKID logo (attached), but it's not a requirement. This could be replicated with the two words in PrepMonsters. Kaplan and PrepScholar are my competitors. I've also attached a logo that I'm not happy with, which was created for me through Fiverr.
