Contest Brief

For a prototype i would like to have schematics and a parts list for a Humidity sensor. I should be able to test the schematic on a breadboard.

The thing i want to build will be used for plants. It should be as simple as possible and use the least amount of parts necessary. The sensor will be put into the soil. If the soil is dry a LED will light up, if its damp the LED should be off. The energy source can be a solar cell(if possible) or button cell. If the parts can be fitted into the size of a pen, then thats a plus.
