Portia Talley Law PLLC
If you had to describe your business in one word, what would it be and why?
"Supportive" I believe the word supportive describes my business aspirations. I plan to offer a variety of services in different legal practice areas; but I would like to be the lawyer who serves as a support system for families navigating the challenges of a divorce and child custody issues, for entrepreneurs seeking new business ventures, for the children, disabled or unemployed seeking advocacy for their rights, and for any one seeking an affordable resolution of a dispute through mediation.

What services or products do you provide?
Legal counsel, representation and mediation services in family law, small business law, labor & employment law, social security disability law, and small claims. We will move into school law when I resign from teaching in 2 years.

Who is the primary target audience?
Families seeking amicable solutions for their divorce, child custody, and child support arrangements. Small business owners looking for affordable legal advice and assistance with start-up, contracts, trademark and copyright registration and protection. Anyone looking for affordable alternatives to litigation: mediation.

What are the values and/or mission statement of your company?
I haven't created a mission statement yet. Some ideals I want to implement in my official mission statement:

- changing the client's perception of legal representation (affordable, dependable, honest, thorough, WORTH the INVESTMENT, essential)

- representing clients with thorough and quality counsel and advocacy.

- high standards of professional ethics and integrity

-exceptional legal representation and personal service (no cookie cutter representation- everything tailored to the client's specific needs)

-achieve creative and practical solutions

I want to have website, business cards and everything ready for distribution and use by JUNE 1. Official opening date!
Is there anything else you would like us to know?
I'd like something chic that I can incorporate on letterhead, business cards and my website. Something consistent that can be easily formatted or adjusted for the different displays. I'm sharing an office space with another company and want to use the logo on my office door and also have a display at the reception area. Maybe a design with Portia Talley Law PLLC underneath. I'm not opposed to something totally creative original and different =
