Design me a new logo

Contest Brief

Logo... I have tried this before and I don't want a generic logo.

I want something specific, so please read the below carefully Name of the company:
Crystalet Research,
a privately own experimental private equity hedge fund that invests in alternative solutions. We use a widely spread academic network to tap into state of the art academic research and apply it to find edge in financial markets in general, and niche opportunities in particular. The concepts are based on open source information, collaboration and entrepreneurship I need a bespoke, simple, recognisable logo. Crystalet was formed as a merger between Crystal (pure, lasting, natural) and violet (the colour, but also referring to violent, passionate I am happy to pay a little bit extra but I need a bespoke solution. Something simple enough so it can be engraved eg on a pen nib. I am a huge pen fan and I am thinking something small and recognisable enough we can have engraved on a fountain pen nib.

So minimalistic as well

    Some people are still sending me either just the name spelled out in a fancy font (that is not a logo I can use) or add some generic logo next to the name.

    I like some of the design ideas that are coming in. The ones that stand out have the following in common: they incorporate the name of the company, the meaning of the words and the associated work, in a very simple minimalistic way.

    Go for something simple, elegant and unique. I am looking for a LOGO, so don't just use a fancy font and write the company name.
