Contest Brief

[UPDATE 26/07] : Added template_example jpg in attachments. this is more or less what I meant .. there is no need to upload images and background textures, of course if it does not cost you too much time it's better to put at least full-background image.. if needed i can upload a free web-found image.
Text could perfectly be "Lorem ipsum..", i'm not asking for final perfect template with graphics and illustration

Hi all,
i'm Andrea from Italy, and i'm developing a Fantasy Card Game.
Before continuing to read i really want to tell you that this is an early project. I'm still developing advanced game-mechanics but i'm looking for talented designers/illustrators by now because i really hope to know someone who impresses me and with whom to work in the future!
My intentions, when the game will be ready and tested, are to start a Kickstarter project to get funds.
If the project will be backed there will be a lot of work to do! .. different card templates, card illustrations, booklet illustrations and design, packaging designs.. and so on!
I'm not asking a super-professional work here, but do the best you can with this budget.. thinking of the possibilities in the future project-development!

Ok let's go:
If you are a trading-card gamer anything will sound clear and simple to you.. but i'll try to explain to you all what i need with some example-attachment support and description.
In this game there will be different card types: heroes, monsters, equipments etc...
What i simply need is a front-back card template for hero cards. Front contains the image ( please use any fantasy image you want from the web.. i tried "fantasy character image", preferibly with a sort of background - not only the character ), some basic info and a main skill title-description. The back contains addictional skills that the hero learns by leveling up.

I list you some hero cards features: ( open attachments if you are not familiar with that kind of material )
Hero card has a card-name as title ( use Conan, the Barbarian for your designs, or any great fantasy hero you like :) )
Hero card has a card-subtitle as a description of race + subtype ( use Human - Warrior for your designs or any other description you like )
Hero card has 2 main stats: ATK and DEF ( attack & defense ) that starts at 1-3 value and with the continuation of the game increases to 10 at most. Read p3 just below.
Hero card has X HP ( use 12 value for your designs )
Hero card has 2-4 skills, 1 is on the front, the others on the back ( Skill title + Skill description, i suggest you to use 3-4 skills for your designs.. giving the idea of a full card)

Take a look at the attachments to get an idea of what I mean.

In example_1 ..
p1) I really like full page picture and the card edging ( gold lines ).

p2) The skill title-description area is ok, as the subtitle "resonat.. etc".

p3) What i don't like is the atk-def indicator.. In my case I was thinking about two bars made up of small squares ( see example_2, at the bottom, just under the quote ), so you start with your base value and then you mark your progress with a pencil writing over the card-sleeve. These bars could be horizontal ( as the example ) or vertical at the side of the card.. really don't know.. use your imagination and skills :)

p4) Still in example_1, not need the circle at the top-left or something like that. This is a resource-needed icon for play the card, but we're designing a card that's in game from the very first phase of the match, and you don't need to spend resources to play this.

p5) The back-side could be really similar to example_3 .. the only exception is that each skill has a minimum level.. so "ability one" is available from level 1, "ability two" is available from level 3, "ability three" is available starting from 5 and so on. There should be something indicating that min-level usage ( icon or text ).

p6) Your design should be like example_4, front and back.

Example_5 is another example.

Saw this last night. I had a feeling no one would submit anything. You're asking for quite a bit for only $34.
