Design a small electronic circuit to drive an LED matrix.

Contest Brief

You just need to draw the circuit.
The circuit needs to drive 60 LEDs which are arranged like in the attached picture:
Four times 3 x 5 matrixes to display numbers.
The LEDs will have a flow voltage of 2.8-3.5V.
The whole matrix display with the 60 LEDs will be connected to a micro controller through max. eight wires total.
Design the driving circuit. It should be cheap and all components need to be available at both: digikey.com and mouser.com.
Add a little bill of material with the order numbers.
If possible, draw the circuit with Autodesk Eagle.
The best circuit wins.

The IC IS31FL3736 seems to be the best solution for my needs. Can anybody draw a nice and correct schematic in Eagle, with all the components in some libraries? A component consists of a symbol, a footprint and a pinout table. Thank you! This schematic will win.

Which size do you want this PCB? How much do you want to spend on it? The LED should be SMD or THT, and which size of them?

You don't need to create a PCB. Just the schematic.

However you want. The LEDs will be populated on a PCB, I won't take a matrix LED module.

No. Actually, there will be a micro controller on another PCB. It will drive the LED matrix board through max. eight wires as mentioned in the description. Less wires would be better, but that also depends on the price of the other components.
