Contest Brief

EDIT - pay attention to my post below. we are not a fancy place. just a shack. we are in south Georgia in a shack. not Manhattan in a high rise.
all these pictures that have LIVE chickens... a cooked chicken might be ok but we are not an egg farm. we are a bbq, in a shack.

R J Alverson's aka "R J Alverson's Chicken & Ribs" is named for my grandfather who can be seen in the attached image cooking chicken (peanut butter bbq chicken in fact) his family recipe. He also cooked a lot of ribs (Spare ribs, pork), again a family recipe. He always wanted a "shack" where he could sell chicken and ribs. I'm building a shack. Literally. This will not be a fancy place to sit down and eat. There might eventually be a picnic table. But I would like a good logo. Something to represent the heritage. We sit around the grill.. cook chicken, cook ribs, drink bourbon or beer. I hope people will stop by.. grab a rack of ribs or a couple chickens on their way home..

we are a South Georgia (USA) based business

Logo will be used on business cards, website, probably just a wordpress template to be honest. nothing fancy.

I would also like a icon type image that could be used on etched glass, mugs, etc or cut on vinyl/printed on shirts. .

Sorry I cant offer more. I understand some wont participate. 219 is my brothers lucky number. - thats a Redd Foxx Sanford and Son reference..
