Contest Brief
We are establishing a non-profit organization that will plan and host yearly Eid celebrations for our region, to bring people from all communities and centers together for celebration (instead of different centers holding their own individual small prayers and celebrations). The point of Eid is to unite people and share the joy of the holiday with all, not to be insular and isolated. With that in mind, our organization is going to be call Eid United. We are looking for a logo that represents that cleanly and with joy--possibly incorporating the waxing crescent moon, or some symbol for unifying (hands held, or something). Since there is a small mountain range in our part of Southern California, you might include a mountain-scape, with the moon and stars above.. or something else.
I've included a basic idea one of us came up with. It's just an idea and the logo doesn't have to look like this, but it might give you inspiration for the "joyful" aspect of the logo that we are looking for.

thanks everyone for all of these. We are hoping to find something that has less of a corporate feel, but is simple (not too much going on). Also, a little more focus on the Unity aspect, if possible.
