Contest Brief

I am looking for someone to draw/paint me a seamless pattern for boys/men's clothing. I am capable of positioning elements into a repeat pattern in illustrator or photoshop. Please don't submit something I could have made myself. It's unique art that I am the most interested in. The end product is fabric that my customers would use to sew up clothing such as shirts, sweaters, baby outfits and all other types of clothing. The goal is to have it appeal to both men and boys alike. This is a hard line to walk as it can't be too babyish/cartooney but also can't be so adult that it wouldn't work for a baby outfit. Classy, trendy and unique would be adjectives I would use for this project.

This will be digitally printed so there is no limit to the amount of colors.

I am open to all sorts of designs from simple to over the top.

If you wouldn't wear it on yourself, then I probably won't be interested.

Size should be at least 8 inches square at 300 dpi.

I have posted this before as an un-guaranteed contest using the theme of pirates, ships, octopus and treasure. I am still interested in this theme, but am open to others as well such as monster trucks, crocodiles, dinosaurs, dragons, ninjas, space, motorcycles and cars, forest animals/lumberjacks and or farm.

This project could literally be anything that a boy/man would wear tiled repeatedly. I will attach some examples of styles that I like to give you a better chance and idea. Some of these are pretty girly, but you get the idea. There isn't much out there for men and boys.

  Oh yes! We're aloud to offer to sell the non-winning entries. Some contests will be like, "Winning entry gets $100, all other choices get $50, $75 etc... and then that gives us the opportunity to change our price so that you can buy it if you like more than one. Usually if they are buying other entries, CH (contest holder) will put it in the contest description.
