Contest Brief

Create a 3D model based on an obj 3D or a png file, in relief form.

Model is to push out from the Z plane akin to what I've tried to illustrate with the carbonite.png image of a person who got frozen in "a block of ice"

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i3szax4zdui5hr2/carbonite.png?dl=1

The obj file provided for modeling reference, is created as an automated height map based on a flat grayscale image (see below).

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jb8wxyb0lt4qztk/PM_implant-01_blackened.obj?dl=1

A copy of the image the file is based upon is provided for reference.

The idea is for you to remodel the 3D file so features push out of the page as a relief.

You may also use the reference picture to create a 3D file in an exact form replicating all features of the png.

If you can do this to my satisfaction you can win a cash prize and an opportunity to bid on reworking a number of further pages 20+

This competition aims for the creation of a 3D rendition of a page from the comic book Implant!

Entering is an acceptance of the terms as stated here.

3D from image ,.. this work is possible in another software as per my knowledge.. Giving relief to 3D form is material removal command, which is used in 3D CAD (engineering) software's..

      Thanks

Here is a little about the process so far.

The idea of the competition is to take one of the images automatically generated, or to create your own based on the enclosed png and provide a relief in 3D form smooth but with feelable edges, rather than the somewhat crude height maps I have auto created as a basis for the conversion to give people an idea of what I am after.

Here as an image autocreated from the cover that may give you a better idea of what I am after as well.
