    Hello Contest holder. Just to clear my confusion. I think in large contests like this. The contestants can send a sample of their work to the contest holder at first. And then upon being awarded, they are bound to submit complete work through the handover process within 14 days of being awarded. It is only after having submitted complete work, that the winner becomes eligible to receive the prize money, failing which the contest holder can raise a dispute with freelancer support, and with hold the prize money. In my prior experiences of having participated in a few freelancer contests so far. I have noted that it is rare that a contest holders faces problems working this way.

    This way is not only helpful to the contestants - because it reduces risks associated with losing the contest - but is also helpful to contest holders, because contestants can work to produce little, but quality entries. In essence, you can declare a winner, but choose to pay them only after receiving complete work through the handover. I hope I have been of help. Wish you luck with the contest. :) #13

    Not trying to be a spoiler. But just warning the CH, that some of the entries I see here are simply copy pasted. I have even reported one such person to freelancer. So I suggest the CH to ask for a plagiarism report from the declared winner. Good luck with your contest. :)
