Contest Brief

Seeking a logo designer who is willing to play! I would like a logo that looks high end but is still a little edgy and fun. Our company name is Flashbox Creatives, Inc. We do product photography and design print and promotional materials for luxury items like jewelry, accessories, skin care products, etc. We just moved from Los Angeles to Houston, Texas and have added commercial and video content production to our list of services offered. I don't have time to design a logo for myself, and I welcome a fresh perspective. I would like a logo that includes an emblem/insignia/mascot of some sort and not just text. I'm completely open to "outside-the-box" ideas. A little about us for inspiration... We are Christians. We're patriotic. We LOVE mid-century modern architecture and furniture. We love old Chevy trucks (bucket list item), and we just adopted an English bulldog named "Houston" who is a wild child (We thought they were supposed to be lazy...). We like clean, bright, geometric, and colorful images and line art. That's the type of work we produce. Many of our clients are from the Baby Boomer generation, so their taste is more stereotypically "luxury." We want to move away from that. Luxury doesn't have to be expressed through excess. Luxury can be Bauhaus too.

Here is a link to my old website. Previous Los Angeles company name was Flashbox Photo Studio.

Click the "Social Media" link at the top for a better idea of our personality. The front page is more serious for our older jeweler clients. I've also included a picture of our puppy, a vision board image of a classic red truck, and a screen capture of search page results for "Bauhaus." Love the cleverness of the Bauhaus movement! Like I mentioned previously, an emblem, insignia or mascot would be great! I was toying with the idea of including a bulldog somehow, but I just don't have the time or energy to invest creative bandwidth in my own rebranding right now, especially when I'm looking for something completely new. Need help and FRESH ideas! Thanks.
