Contest Brief

I am going to be closing on a piece of land soon. I have attached a pic. I want to see what we can come up with for design. Please ignore the home currently on the survey. It is an old home. The home is no longer there.

A few things.

Setbacks are as follows:

1) Front (Madison) has a 25' setback

2) Rear (west) has a 20' setback

3) Both sides have a 5' setback

4) We need to stay out of floodplain (indicated by dashed lines on the south-west corner.

As far as my ideal home, contemporary is my style, but it needs to fit with the neighborhood. I want a U shaped Home with a courtyard very similar to the attached. Mine will have to be narrower due to lot size. It needs to fit the neighborhood. Maybe more contemporary in the back. Please check project comments for street view from google.

Large kitchen and master suite (bedroom, bathroom and closets are important to me), as is courtyard and backyard. Master bedroom and guest bedroom on first floor is ideal. 3 additional bedrooms upstairs. 5 total. Every bathroom MUST have its OWN full bathroom. First floor also needs 1-2 half baths

Please see the 2 links below for references on homes I like, broken down by room, and requirements sheet. IF YOU REVIEW EACH IMAGE AND REQUIREMENT YOU HAVE A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING. Many people have not checked each requirement.

The photos show the exact size, finish out and layout I want. Photos combined with requirements sheet, should help you a lot. Then you just need to find the best way to shape the house and place each room.

This will be a 2 story home. 3,700-4,500 SF. I want space for backyard too.

      Hello sir, Good day. as per the character of the building in the locality you've shared, I didn't find any building similar to what you require..correct me if I'm wrong..you want a box type look alike house contemporary design right?We can give you the design you need but I don't know if your building regulator will accept your design because most of the houses nearby are gabled type roof. Can you please give me thought for this. Thanks

    Since you mentioned your preference for a contemporary style, will you also require any additional submissions/drawings other than just the floor plans?

      Sealed means sealing the contest so that previously submitted entries won't be copied or affect the design process of newer ones. It ensures you get original entries from all participants. You can do this the same way you guaranteed the contest.

      I can´t do just a floorplan, it ´s an integral work, floorplans, sketches, 3d schemes, and some 3d rendering to see how spaces will be. It takes time to do it, if you can extend to 7 days. And budget, that´s depends on you, but u$100 it´s too low if you want usefull ideas for your house.
