I have a pythonscript that reads data from a mysql db and then creates a html page with some data in it.

I've got an encoding issue in the script when using "åäö" in the html code that I'm writing to file.
It only seems to happend if I set a variable manually like data = "åäö" and not with the data fetched from sql.

I've tried all kind of .encode .decode and #encoding header but nothing seems to help.

I think a skilled python dev will solve this in minutes.
